about

An ambient album I recorded at the time of my father's death. In 2007 My father Fernando died after a number of years affected by Alzheimers. He lost his short term memory and forgot who we were unless reminded. he lost his personality before our eyes.

When e died it as a relief because we had lost him some years before. He was cremated and I had the strange honour of scattering his ashes at High and Over, a beautiful hill top which he had been fond of.

I felt the need to express my grief through music and this was the first album I created at that time. The second being Dust to Dust.

Both are ambient explorations based around grief and acceptance of the inevitability of death, viewed as impermanence.
